The Lohja Apple Carnival is a warm-hearted harvest festival for the whole family. The carnival takes place in the idyllic inner yard of the Lohja Museum in the centre of Lohja. The carnival area hosts more than a hundred harvest-inspired stalls where you can find baked goods, handicrafts and of course, all kinds of apples.
In addition to the stalls, there is also a huge and varied programme to enjoy at the festival, including theatre, music and the performances by “The happy blacksmith”. Displayed in the field are scarecrows participating in the Finnish scarecrow championships. The museum offers free admission during the carnival day and there are Icelandic horses for the children to ride on. In the street by the museum, you can admire alpacas, classic cars
and motorbikes. The programme culminates with the vote for this year’s “Miss Apple”
This year’s event is held on Saturday the 21st of September. The theme of this year’s Apple carnival is Finnish folk dance and music. The festival is open from 10 AM until 4 PM. The timetable for this year is released at the end of August.
